PITTSBURGH — A new underwater adventure, "Under the Sea," filmed entirely with IMAX cameras for a vivid, immersive viewing experience, has opened at the Carnegie Science Center's Rangos Omnimax Theater, One Allegheny Ave., North Side.

This film transports audiences to some of the most exotic and isolated undersea locations on Earth, including southern Australia and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as Papua New Guinea and Indonesia for face-to-face encounters with mysterious creatures of the sea.

Narrated by Jim Carey, "Under the Sea" is rated G for general audiences and is 40 minutes long. The film will continue running through the summer.

Other Omnimax films continuing are "Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk" and "Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs."

Admission to the Omnimax Theater, separate from Science Center admission, ranges from $8 to $10 for adults and $6 to $8 for children 3 to 12 and senior citizens 62 and older, depending on the film. Double feature prices are available. Parking is $3 per vehicle.
