Nicholas Dunlap

In memory of our beloved Nicholas Dunlap who went to Heaven, February 23, 2004.

Our Dearest Nick,

It's been five years since we've got to...

...look into those sparkling, brown EYES that were always full of love and saw everyone as equal and who was a friend to all.

...see that beautiful, radiant SMILE that could melt anyone's heart. It was that smile that remained on your face, even during the months of fighting those tumors, that inspired many.

...hear that sweet, soft VOICE that spoke only with kindness and always knew exactly the right words to say and how we miss hearing that quiet, quick wit you would surprise us with.

...hold those precious HANDS that worked so hard to stay caught up on your schoolwork and that would hold ours for comfort.

The inspiration you brought to others by the words and actions of those eyes, smile, voice and hands is still remembered and celebrated today in many ways.

This is the fifth year for your relay team - "Nicky's Knights", for the basketball/beanbag tournament and for the Celebration of Life, raising money for the American Cancer Society, St. Jude's, and for the Nicholas Dunlap Scholarship and Humanitarian Award. This is how your family and friends, along with the support of the community, remember and honor you.

YOU - who blessed, inspired and touched the hearts of more people at age 13 than those who would live to be 80.

We will forever thank God for blessing us with one of his angels, who even in Heaven continues to touch the hearts and lives of others - especially your family.

Even though our family chain has been broken for five years now we are looking forward to the day when that chain is linked again in Paradise for an eternity.

We miss you more than words could ever express, Buddy. You will forever be in our hearts and a part of our lives.
