Wonders of Science
In February 1964, Gary McDevitt of Butler RD2 earned an honorable mention for his oil derrick in a geography exhibit at Buhl Planetarium in Pittsburgh. McDevitt, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy McDevitt, was a fifth grade student at St. Peter Parochial School in Butler. He was one of 900 show contestants.
