Michigan takes down PSU, 71-51
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Manny Harris scored 28 points as Michigan beat Penn St. 71-51 for a key Big Ten victory Thursday night.
Harris helped Michigan (15-8, 5-6 Big Ten) win for just the second time in six games.
The loss ended Penn State's winning streak at four games — their longest conference run since 1996. The Nittany Lions (17-6, 6-4) are now 1-14 at Crisler Arena.
Stu Douglass added 13 points for the Wolverines. Jamelle Cornley led Penn State with 25, but their high-scoring guard combination of Stanley Pringle and Talor Battle combined for just 16 on 6-for-29 shooting.
