My Dear Husband:

How can I express my love for you in only a few chosen words?

God gave us 35 years together and "our moment in time" is what I treasure as the months turn into years.

Where there was hurt in memories, there is now a gentle warmth. You see, my husband, I didn't realize the depth of my love for you until you were gone.

Your sudden loss literally made my breath stop. It is only now, two years later, that I can start to breathe again and remember and smile.

God took you so quickly that we never had a chance to hold each other and say the things that should be said. I say to you, my Robert, that my heart will hold you always. You are a part of me, and I am part of you.

I truly treasure your unfailing belief in me that gave me the confidence and strength to do what I thought couldn't be done. Your "unfailing belief" still lives on not only in me but in our children. You have made us strong.

Even though the 35 years we gave to each other just wasn't long enough, I thank God always for the "once in a lifetime" blessing of such an incredibly devoted husband and father. You are very deeply missed.
