Clemson nets ACC victory
CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Graduation ceremonies at Miami's basketball arena and hectic final-exam schedules kept the Hurricanes from practicing on their own court for the past week.
As such, they were a bit out of sorts — and Clemson was more than happy to exploit that.
K.C. Rivers scored 28 points and the Tigers easily overcame an early 12-point deficit to beat mistake-prone Miami 91-72 Sunday night in the Atlantic Coast Conference opener for both teams.
Terrence Oglesby added 17 points for the Tigers (12-0, 1-0 ACC).
