PITTSBURGH — The suburban wife of an alleged drug dealer was charged Monday in federal court with fatally shooting an FBI agent who came to her house to serve an arrest warrant on her husband.

Christina Korbe, 40, had already been charged with criminal homicide in Allegheny County in the death of Special Agent Sam Hicks. The latest charges against her, which include first-degree murder and firearms charges, were filed in U.S. District Court. She faces the possibility of life in prison on the new charges.

Hicks, 33, was one of several law enforcement officers who went to Christina and Robert Korbe's home in the Pittsburgh suburb of Glenshaw early on Nov. 19 to serve a warrant. Robert Korbe, 39, a convicted felon, had been wanted by agents who were rounding up suspects in a drug sweep.

Christina Korbe said she believed her house was being broken into and she was trying to protect her children.
