INDIANA — Police are investigating a group of eight cars set on fire in a parking lot behind a fraternity house at Indiana (Pa.) University.

Police said the fires were reported about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday behind the Sigma Chi house near campus.

Some fraternity brothers believe the fire is related to another vehicle fire on Nov. 1, although investigators determined that was caused by an electrical problem.

Indiana Borough police said some kind of flammable liquid was used to set the fires on Wednesday.

CLEARFIELD — The Pennsylvania State Game Commission said a hunter did nothing wrong to provoke an attack by two bears last month.The 39-year-old hunter, whose name is not being released, is recovering from puncture wounds, bites and gashes in the Nov. 25 attack near Clearfield. The injuries are not life-threatening.Game officials said the hunter was attacked when he wound up between two bears while following fresh tracks in the snow. It's possible one bear was a cub and the other it's mother. Game officials said that could provoke an attack.
