ERIE — A Pennsylvania man is set for sentencing in a bizarre robbery plot that ended with the death of a pizza deliveryman forced to rob a bank with a bomb locked onto his neck.

Fifty-six-year-old Kenneth Barnes faces at least 30 years in federal prison when he's sentenced Wednesday in Erie because a "destructive device" was used in the crime. Barnes pleaded guilty in September.

Forty-six-year-old pizza deliveryman Brian Wells was killed when the bomb exploded while he sat handcuffed in a parking lot shortly after the robbery. Police were waiting for a bomb squad at the time.

The alleged mastermind is 59-year-old Marjorie Diehl-Armstrong, also of Erie. She's in a federal prison in Texas for an examination to determine if she's mentally competent to stand trial.

TINICUM — A coroner says an Eastern Pennsylvania hunter found dead after a fall from a tree stand on the opening day of rifle deer season had severe heart disease.A friend found the body of 65-year-old Christopher Goodrich on Monday evening. He was on the ground below the 14-foot-high tree stand in woods near his house at Tinicum, about 35 miles north of Philadelphia.The Bucks County coroner, Dr. Joseph Campbell, says Goodrich suffered a heart attack. He says an autopsy Tuesday showed no trauma from the fall.Police say Goodrich's rifle was found three feet from his body, and wasn't loaded.
