The Schake twins, Alissa and Jess, each scored 14 points to lead the Slippery Rock University women's basketball team to a 72-51 win over Lake Erie (Ohio) College in the first round of the Holiday Inn Express Tournament at Ashland University Saturday.

Jess Schake also led The Rock with six rebounds. Alissa Schake had four steals.

Grove City High graduate Julie Molloy scored nine points for SRU.

The Rock, though, dropped the championship game of the tournament to host Ashland 78-51 Sunday.

Sasha Sales scored a team-high 15 points and six rebounds in the loss.

Amanda Nero added 11 points and Nikki Presto 10 for The Rock (2-4).
