CALIFORNIA — Senior Anastasia Urbanik recorded 13 kills, 12 digs and three blocks to lead the Slippery Rock University volleyball team to a 3-2 win over Edinboro in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional at California (Pa.) UniversityThursday afternoon.

With the win, the sixth-seed Rock (26-11) moved into the semifinals against either second-seeded Wheeling Jesuit or seventh-seeded West Virginia Wesleyan at 5 p.m. today.

A win today would put SRU into the regional final for the first time since 1993.

The Rock opened Thursday's match with a 25-22 win before losing the next two games. SRU won the fourth game 25-19 and the final game 15-11.

Freshman Kaylee Smith added 10 kills, 13 digs and three blocks.
