MARS — The Mars Public Library will hold a gingerbread house contest until Dec. 1. The theme is animated characters from TV shows or movies and entries will be judged on originality, creativity and overall appearance. Judging will be held Dec. 10.Divisions will be ages 16 and up, ages 7 to 15 and groups of two or more members.Entries must not be from kits. Components should be mostly gingerbread and food. Some nonfood items may be used.Base boards should be sturdy and no more than 12 inches by 15 inches.
