Ordy, Strawbridge
Shannon Ordy and Matthew Strawbridge were united in marriage Aug. 23 at West Sunbury United Methodist Church in West Sunbury. The Rev. Wayne Bell officiated. A reception followed at the American Legion in Lyndora.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Sharon Ordy of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Lester and Lori Strawbridge of Butler.
The honor attendants were Leslie Spinneweber and Maggie McGrady, both of Butler. Bridesmaids were Katie Burchett, Michelle Moran, Tammy Ordy, Renea Burkhart and Liane Spears, all of Butler, Amy Koch of New Jersey and Sunny Strawbridge of Virginia. Junior bridesmaid was Brianna Reed of Butler.
Performing the duties of best man was Dave Strawbridge of Butler. Groomsmen were Jim Sasse, Scott Stoner, Dave Spinneweber, Bob Ordy, Kevin Kline, Matt Raisley and Brian Cress, all of Butler, and Tim Koch of New Jersey. Junior groomsman was Brandon Spinneweber of Butler.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Butler High School. She attended Butler Beauty School and works for J.C. Penney Salon in Butler.
The bridegroom graduated in 1993 from Slippery Rock High School. He works for Iron Mountain in Boyers.
Following a honeymoon trip to Myrtle Beach, the couple is making their home in Butler.
