HALLOWEEN HISTORY
Roy Long and his family dressed as a "Mex-I-clan" for the Evans City Halloween parade on Oct. 31, 1964. Mrs. Long designed and made the costumes, which earned the family a prize that holiday night. More than 40 years later, the town's tradition continues as Evans City hosts its annual Halloween parade at 6:15 p.m. Thursday on Main Street. Trick-or-treating will be 6 to 7 p.m. Friday.
