PARC fall party planned tonight

The annual PARC fall party, sponsored by the Intermediate League of Butler, will be held at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the sheltered workshop building on the corner of Washington and Jefferson streets.

LYNDORA— The Butler Chapter 45 Order of the Eastern Star will hold a holiday hostess party with crafts and vendors from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Lyndora Fire Hall, 114 Whitestown Road.The party will include a 50/50 raffle, a Chinese auction, basket opportunities and a luncheon cafe.

SUGARCREEK TWP, Armstrong County — The Kevin Kammerdiener Benefit Committee is putting together a fundraiser cookbook to benefit Kammerdiener, who was injured in Afghanistan.Recipes should be typed or printed clearly with the donor's name, address, phone number and notation of whether the recipe is in honor or memory of someone. The Mental Health Association will hold a fair housing and legal assistance program and a taffy pull at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the MHA meeting room, 140 N. Elm St.The housing program will be offered by Neighborhood Legal Services, and the taffy pull will be presented by Amos "Joupie" Campbell.

GIBSONIA — Applications are now available for the 2009 Miss Butler County USA pageant to be held Dec. 7 at the Kean Theatre. Entrants must be at least 17 years old and under 26 on Feb. 1. Entrants must have never been married and have maintained primary residence in Butler County for at least six months or be enrolled in a Butler County school.
