Court rejects bid by English foe
HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has rejected an appeal by an independent candidate who wanted to run against Republican U.S. Rep. Phil English.
The one-sentence order by the court affirms a decision last month by the Commonwealth Court which ruled Dr. Steven Porter does not have enough valid signatures on his nominating petitions to run against English.
