MASONTOWN — Someone might have tried to harm yet another calf at a southwestern Pennsylvania farm, where three other cows have been skinned.

Lou Diamond says he was milking cows Thursday morning when he heard a noise in his barn. He says he found a calf missing and its collar cut. He found the calf a short distance from the barn and, Diamond says, he believes he thwarted someone from skinning the animal.

Diamond says the neck of a 3-day-old calf was skinned this week at his Fayette County farm. The animal named Sugar Lump is recovering after surgery.

Two other newborn calves at his farm have died after being skinned alive recently.

Rewards of several thousand dollars are being offered.
