SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University pole vaulter Jennifer Hansen was named as the NCAADivision II Conference Commissioners' Association's Atlantic Region Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Hansen beat out candidates from the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

Hansen has a perfect 4.0 GPA and is an elementary education major.
