Take your footwear out on limb
FORT WORTH, Texas — In a whimsical nod to nature, some of fall's most breathtaking shades are found this season at the very tips of limbs — that is to say, on shoes. The grays and blacks and browns that give daywear a sophisticated, rich look get a pop of color when paired with dark tights and these bright-but-rich hues.
Patent leathers shine in exotic shades from oxblood red to chocolate brown and even a Stuart Weitzman deep, luxurious navy that will make you forget that this color was once solely the province of flight-attendant pumps.
If suede is more your style, the most fashion-forward feet will seek pumpkin, ruby and, again, dark brown and navy. And if you gravitate toward something a little edgier, go wild with animal prints.
Rake in a pile of ballet flats, modified moccasins, Mary Janes, wedge heels, shoe boots or peep-toe pumps. Just remember, footwear is like fabulous foliage this fall, and color is key.
