GIBSONIA — St. Barnabas Charities will accept donations of pennies, coins and dollars throughout September for the Pennies for Patients campaign that has been ongoing since February.

To donate, visit St. Barnabas Charities at 5850 Meridian Road or call 724-444-5521. Pennies for Patients containers are also on display in local businesses.

ZELIENOPLE — The Zelienople Public Library will host its September Splash "At Home" party from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the library, 227 S. High St.Vendors will offer items such as jewelry, candles, books and cooking aids. A basket raffle and refreshments also will be available.

HARRISVILLE — A rabies clinic will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Harrisville Community Park.Dogs should be on leashes and cats in carriers. Animals should be at least 13 weeks old.

CONNOQUENESSING TWP — The Butler County 4-H Benefit Auction will be held Saturday at the Ag building of the Butler Farm Show Grounds on Route. 68.Viewing of items will begin at 4:30 p.m., and the auction will begin at 6 p.m.

SLIPPERYROCK — The Robert A. Macoskey Center for Sustainable Systems Education and Research at Slippery Rock University will offer a "Solar Power for Water Pumping" workshop from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the center.Participants will learn how to use solar energy to pump water for agricultural uses.For more information or to register, call 724-738-4050.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington and West Franklin Volunteer Fire Department will hold an Anything on Wheels parts swap meet at 7 a.m. Saturday at the fire hall on Rt. 422.

The NAMI Connections support group will meet from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturdays beginning Saturday at the Holly Pointe Building, 220 S. THE FOCUS DEPARTMENT publishes wedding announcements of residents and former residents. Forms are available at the Butler Eagle office, 114 W. Diamond St., P. O. Box 271 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday; or they will be mailed if a self-addressed, stamped envelope is provided.Weddings cost $25 to publish, and must be paid in advance.Color prints may be used. Polaroids are not accepted. For more information contact the Focus Department between 1 and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
