Kenneth Fultz and Jeremy Deighton each scored a goal as the Slippery Rock University men's soccer team blanked Mercyhurst 2-0 Tuesday.

Fultz scored on a penalty kick in the 70th minute and Deighton's came seven minutes later off an assist by Patrick Cormac.

Greg Blum made five saves for The Rock (3-2-1, 1-1) in his third shutout of the season.

SRU's Kaylee Smith had 11 kills and nine digs, but it was Edinboro that came away with the 3-1 victory.Jen Blasko added eight kills and 18 digs, and Anastasia Urbanik added seven kills, 10 digs and four block assists, and Kim Wilson 25 assists and five digs for The Rock (9-5, 0-2).
