PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police say a 19-year-old man found dead on an uninhabited island was not shot as first believed, but instead died from being run over by a power company maintenance vehicle.

Police aren't saying how the Reliant Energy vehicle ran over 19-year-old Matthew Delanko of McKees Rocks on Brunot Island. Reliant Energy owns much of the island on the Ohio River west of downtown.

A Reliant Energy spokeswoman says the company is cooperating with police but not commenting.
