ERIE — The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has refused to hear an appeal by the ex-wife of a car dealer claiming the phony engagement ring he gave her voided a prenuptial agreement.

If the prenuptial agreement were voided, Susan Porreco would collect more than $1 million in the divorce with Louis Porreco of Erie instead of just $3,500 for each of the nearly 14 years as spelled out under the agreement. Appeals have delayed a division of their assets.

Porreco says his wife knew the ring was fake and didn't want a real diamond for fear she'd damage it.
