PITTSBURGH — A suspected bank robber is in prison after leading police on a 20-mile chase through downtown Pittsburgh and its suburbs, ramming cars and swarming through rush-hour with dozens of police cars on his tail.

Police arrested 36-year-old John McCleavy of Pittsburgh and 21-year-old Meghan Jaeger of Ohio.

Police say the chase began with reports of a bank robbery at a National City Bank on the border of Pittsburgh and the suburb of Dormont.

Pittsburgh Police Chief Nate Harper says McCleavy will face federal bank robbery charges, among others. Jaeger is being charged with conspiracy.
