Kerosene sold in W. Pa. recalled
HARRISBURG — Pittsburgh Terminals Corp. has discovered a possible malfunction in a valve that may have contaminated kerosene distributed between May 1 and Aug. 19 in Western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio, northern West Virginia and the southwestern border of New York.
The kerosene may be contaminated with gasoline, creating a risk of fire or explosion.
Anyone who purchased kerosene from a retailer within the geographic areas noted above between May 1 and Aug. 19 should not use the kerosene. Instead, the kerosene should be returned immediately to the place of purchase for a full refund or replacement of the kerosene and the returned container.
