ZELIENOPLE— Calvin Presbyterian Church will offer a seminar, "Finding Work You Love in a Troubled Economy" from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the church on Grandview Avenue. Neal Griebling, chaplain, career consultant and founder of Future Design Studio will present the seminar.The event, which is free and offered to the public, is designed to help men and women identify and find the right job, find job opportunities before they are posted, advance within their present organization, change careers or establish a business or consulting practice of their own.

MIDDLESEX TWP— A concert will be held from 6 to 10:30 p.m. Friday to benefit the Ethel Rovito Cancer Foundation.The concert will feature six rock bands from the area. The bands will include Fight the Flow, Sense of December, Ozone Itch, The Blonde Girls, Night Falling, and Wounds to Wisdom.Refreshments will be available for purchase. The Rock for Life concert will be held at Holy Sepulcher (the old church building), 1304 E. Cruikshank Road. The Ethel Rovito Cancer Foundation provides support to families of cancer patients undergoing treatment.

CABOT — Cooper Cabin Pioneer Homestead will host master gardener Barb Bishop Aug. 24 at the cabin, 199 Cooper Road.
