The Butler Public Library will offer Nursery Rhyme Time from 10:30 to 10:50 a.m. beginning Tuesday at the library, 218 McKean St. Other sessions will be held Aug. 5, 12, and 26. The program is designed for children 12 to 24 months old with accompanying adults and will include stories, rhymes and songs.

FREEPORT — The Freeport Library will hold a New to You Sale from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 2 at the library, 428 Market St.Household item donations are being accepted.

SLIPPERY ROCK TWP, Lawrence County — McConnells Mill State Park is home to many record breaking trees. Hikers are invited to meet at 2 p.m. on Aug. 2 at the parking lot above the Breakneck and Eckert bridges near the intersection of Routes 422 and 19 for a hike into the woods in search of grand old trees. Participants should wear sturdy shoes and take water.

LYNDORA — The Butler High School class of 1946 will hold its 62nd reunion Aug. 15 at the Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Ave.Invitations have been sent to all class members with current address information. GROVE CITY — Western Pennsylvania residents who winter in the St. Cloud and Kissimmee, Fla., area are invited to attend an annual summer picnic at noon Aug. 5 at Grove City Memorial Park on West Main Street.Those attending are asked to arrive at 11:45 a.m. and take a covered dish, salad or dessert and table service.
