FAIRVIEW TWP— In memory of Alia Hackbarth who in May was killed in an accident, a benefit concert will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Aug. 9 at Karns City High School.
The benefit committee is seeking monetary donations and Chinese auction items. Proceeds will benefit the Hackbarth family.

BUTLER TWP— The annual softball game to benefit the Irene Stacy Community Mental Health Center will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Butler Memorial Park, off of Mercer Road. The Irene Stacy team will challenge the Butler Radio Network for the fourth time.The event will include a concession stand, a Chinese auction and a 50/50 drawing.
