MCKEESPORT — Crews are battling a major apartment fire in McKeesport and trying to ensure all residents are getting out of the building.

Video from a television station shows firefighters on ladders moving from window to window searching for residents who may be trapped.

Several people have been seen being helped out of the building by firefighters, including several children. Firefighters are inside the building battling the blaze and spraying the flames with water cannons from outside as well.

The building has three floors. It's unclear how many people live in the building, who owns it or how the fire started.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or deaths.

GREENSBURG — A Westmoreland County jury will begin deliberating the fate of state Sen. Robert Regola III after they hear closing arguments in his perjury and weapons trial.Regola is accused of lying at a coroner's inquest into the death of his former neighbor, 14-year-old Louis Farrell. Farrell was found shot to death with the senator's 9mm pistol two years ago and prosecutors say Farrell knew about the gun because his friend, the senator's son, Bobby, used to keep it in his room.
