• Escorting residents to outdoor events, chapel, shopping trips
• Teaching a class or project
• Assisting with bingo
• Assisting with special functions such as birthday parties, luncheons and pancake breakfasts
• Visiting, reading letters or listening

BUTLER TWP — Join Naturalist April Claus as she unlocks the mysteries of frogs, toads, salamanders, turtles and snakes. FREEPORT — The Mental Health Association will hold the Birdsfoot open June 21 at Birdsfoot GolfCourse, 225 Furnace Run Road. Registration will be held at 1 p.m. and a shotgun start at 2 p.m.The event includes prizes, a 50/50 raffle, auction items, a buffet and beverages.Registration deadline is Wednesday. SAXONBURG — The Saxonburg V.F.W. Post 7376 and the Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a flag burning ceremony at 7 p.m. Monday at the post home on Dinnerbell Road across from Knoch High School.Cub Scout Pack 51 and Boy Scout Troop 51 will conduct the ceremony. The public is invited to take retired flags for burning.Camp Cadet sponsors poker runState Police Troop D and Camp Cadet will sponsor the Pennsylvania Road Dawgs motorcycle poker run with registration at 9 a.m. Saturday at Zanotti's Harley Davidson, 170 Pittsburgh Road. The ride will start at 11 a.m. and two stops will be announced.The event includes door prizes, raffles and food. All proceeds benefit Camp Cadet.
The Butler High School class of 1954 ladies are invited to a picnic to be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Deal Shelter of Butler Memorial Park.
