PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Film Office says principal photography began Thursday on a new comedy being shot in the city.

Film Office Director Dawn Keezer says "Hollywood & Wine" is the first of several films being made by Pittsburgh-based Smithfield Street Productions and California-based Proud Mary Entertainment.

Keezer says producers are also scouting locations in the region this week for three other films. She says a $75 million state tax break for movie production is luring filmmakers to Pittsburgh.

PITTSBURGH — A Pittsburgh City Councilman is pushing legislation that would let people living together in a committed relationship register with the city for $25.Councilman Bruce Kraus, who is gay, says the measure is meant to treat people who live together and are financially dependent on one another the same. That would include heterosexual or homosexual couples in committed relationships.
