A crowd listens to the ceremony marking the opening of the Harmony Museum on May 27, 1967, in Harmony's town square. Among the dignitaries gathered in front of Grace Reformed Church was Dr. Arthur I. Stewart, a longtime Harmony physician who was instrumental in maintaining interest in old Harmony. "Doc" Stewart was named honorary chairman of the board of the Harmonie Historical Society, which opened the museum. Now operated by Historic Harmony Inc., the museum still offers visitors a glimpse of life in early 19th century Harmony. The museum is open from 1 to 4 p.m. daily. It is closed on Mondays and holidays.
