CRANBERRY TWP — Focus on Fitness and National Exercise Trainers Association, NETA, will sponsor a personal trainer certification workshop from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 28 and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 29 at Focus on Fitness on Marshall Road, Cranberry Township.

MARS — Donations for the Mars Area Public Library's summer used-book sale are being accepted. Hardbacks, paperbacks, children's books, audiobooks, movies and music CDs are needed. The Armstrong County Health Care Consortium recently announced that $500 scholarships will be available to those currently employed in a health care setting and enrolled in post-secondary health care educational programs pursuing a degree, diploma or certificate.Applicants must be residents of or work in Butler, Armstrong or Indiana County with preference given to Armstrong County residents and workers.
