CLIFTON, N.J. — Lorena Ochoa overcame a balky putter to shoot a 1-under 71 for a one-stroke victory over five players for her third straight victory in the rain-shortened Sybase Classic.

The victory was Ochoa's 23rd overall and 20th since April 2006. The $300,000 prize pushed her career earnings past the $12 million mark, making her the fastest player on the LPGA Tour to reach that plateau.

DULUTH, Ga. (AP) — Ryuji Imada claimed his first PGA Tour victory, beating Kenny Perry in a playoff at the AT&T Classic after losing the tournament a year ago on the 73rd hole.The two finished regulation at 15-under 273, but Perry's ball wound up in the water on the first playoff hole even though his second shot easily cleared the pond in front of the green.

Several Butler County high school teams will be in action this week. They include:<B>WPIAL Baseball</B>In Quad A play, Butler (13-6) will face Plum (17-3) at 5 p.m. today at Shaler High's Matulevic Field.• Seneca Valley (17-2), which received a first-round bye, will battle Peters Township (15-6) in the quarterfinals at 5 p.m. Tuesday at North Allegheny High School.<B>District 10 Baseball</B>In Class AAA play, Slippery Rock will face Corry in the first round at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Allegheny College.<B>WPIAL Boys Volleyball</B>In Class AAA quarterfinal action, Seneca Valley will battle Penn Hills at 7 p.m. today at the latter's gymnasium.

Seneca Valley High product and Milwaukee Brewers' relief pitcher Zach Jackson pitched 12/3 innings of relief in his team's 11-7 loss Sunday afternoon in Boston.Jackson recorded the final five outs of the game while walking two and surrendering one hit.

Slippery Rock High School graduate and Westminster College track standout Abbey Basta broke her own school record in the 100-meter hurdles with a fourth-place time of 15.12 seconds at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Championships, held last week in Springfield, Mass.SRU track and field teams rankedBoth Slippery Rock University track and field teams are ranked in the final Division II poll of the season after winning Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference team championships.The women's team is ranked 14th in the nation, while the men's squad ends the season at No. 8.
