The Grove City College Department of Education and the education honorary Kappa Delta Pi recently honored 94 kindergarten through third-grade winners of the annual Grove City College story-writing contest.

Winners received a certificate of excellence, an award-winning selection of literature, a personalized bookmark and an anthology containing all winning stories. Students also had the opportunity to share their stories with those in attendance. Entries were evaluated by KDP members for ideas and content, style and creativity, organization and mechanics.

The contest recognized an overall winner in each grade level:

Von Davis, a kindergartener at Penn Christian Academy in Butler;

Morgan Malinski, a first-grader at Moraine Elementary in Slippery Rock;

Macy McCall, a second-grader at Slippery Rock Elementary; and

Reagan Wish, a third-grader at Neshannock Memorial Elementary in New Castle.Winners are listed below.•
