SLIPPERY ROCK TWP — The third annual Wonderful World of Water Day Camp is intended to give children the chance to learn about a vital resource.

The camp will run July 29 to 30 at the Jennings Environmental Education Center.

Campers from ages 7 to 12 will learn about watershed basics, discover solutions to water pollution and consider how human activities affect water quality in rivers and streams. Other activities include hiking along the park's nature trails, conducting experiments and making crafts.

The camp is sponsored by Pennsylvania American Water, which partnered with the Pennsylvania Resources Council.

A $10 deposit holds a child's space and is refunded upon arrival at camp. To register, contact Nancy Martin-Silber of the Pennsylvania Resources Council at 412-431-4449, Ext. 247.
