MARS — Sentinels of Freedom will have an auction at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Mars VFW on Mars-Valencia Road.Proceeds benefit severely injured veterans.

EAST BUTLER — The East Butler Volunteer Fire Company is conducting its annual fund drive.Letters were mailed to residents, businesses and property owners in the service area.Residents who did not receive a donation letter and wish to donate may mail donations to: East Butler V.F.C., P.O. SARVER — The Herbal Thymes Club's 18th annual May Plant Sale and Herb Fest will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Heide Hall, 409 Sarver Road.

BUTLER TWP — The Paul Laurence Dunbar Community Center will hold a basement sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the center, 501 Fairground Hill Road.All proceeds benefit the center's programs.

GROVE CITY — Grove City Christian Academy will present a spring program titled "ASong Let Us Raise" at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Crawford Auditorium of Grove City College.The program will include hymns and the stories behind them.Post workers accept food donationsA nationwide one-day food drive will be conducted by the U.S. Postal Service and the National Association of Letter Carriers on Saturday.Residents are asked to leave nonperishable food at mail boxes before mail pickup. Food can also be left at blue mail collection boxes before 10 a.m.
