BUTLER TWP— Michael Cichra of the Elite Athletic Center won the Level 5 Region 7 gymnastics all-around championship recently.

Cichra's all-around score was 55.0. He also placed first with a 9.1 in the floor exercise, 9.6 on the rings, 9.7 on the parallel bars and 9.3 on the high bar.

Region 7 includes gymnasts from Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Sarver-based FCAGems' Diamonds placed fourth in the Large All-Girl Division at the All-Star Cheerleading Worlds last weekend.The top squads from 27 countries competedt.The Diamonds won three national championships and the Pennsylvania state title this year.
