Marino to address Pitt commencement
PITTSBURGH — Dan Marino will be the featured commencement speaker at his alma mater, the University of Pittsburgh.
The pro and college Hall of Fame quarterback will speak April 27, 25 years after graduating.
Pitt Chancellor Mark Nordenberg says Marino is "saluted by many as the greatest quarterback in football history" and is a champion "both in sport and in life."
Marino, an Oakland native and Central Catholic graduate, earned his bachelor's in communication science at Pitt in 1983 and was drafted in the first round by the NFL's Miami Dolphins.
He lives in Weston, Fla., with his wife and their six children.
