MOON — A 23-year-old Moon Township father is in jail after police found his three young children home alone, living in squalor and surviving on frozen french fries and Mountain Dew.

Chad Victor Braun was arraigned on three counts of endangering the welfare of children.

According to court documents, police went to the home March 21 after a call from a social worker.

The documents say the children, ages 2, 3 and 4, were malnourished and living in deplorable conditions. The 3-year-old's hands were injured.
