ABBEY BASTA (Slippery Rock), a sophomore on the Westminster College women's track and field team, placed third in the 100-meter hurdles at the Western Pennsylvania Championships recently at Carnegie Mellon University. She ran the event in 15.58 seconds.•

MATT ADAMS (Slippery Rock University), a sophomore catcher on the baseball team, was named PSACWest Player of the Week. He hit .688 (11-for-16) with two homers, three doubles, six RBI, six runs scored and five walks.•

MONICA GLOMB (Mars), a freshman on the Kutztown University women's soccer team, pitched four innings of scoreless relief, allowing two hits in getting a win over Indiana (Pa.). She got her second save of the year in the first game, then was the winning pitcher in relief during the second game of a doubleheader sweep of Mansfield.
