The foundation of any community is its manufacturing. The more diverse that manufacturing is, the more stable the local economy can be.

This special section, Made in Butler County, focuses on a number of the items that are created, designed, fabricated and built in the county.

Hundreds of companies, some with three or four workers and some with hundreds, employ thousands of county residents. They make nearly every conceivable product from air turbine fans, modular homes and buckwheat flour to sterile medical packages, steel fabrication and technical ceramic items.

It is these companies and their employees who make Butler County unique. They also provide the backbone that keeps the county's economy growing and developing.
