For the past two months, the team at the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe in Alameda Plaza on New Castle Road has been working to prepare great made-to-order food for reasonable prices.

They would like to thank the community for the immense support during their debut.

For those of you who have not sampled the large array of menu items — including world class wieners, fresh cut fries, handmade quarter pound hamburgers, fish sandwiches, salads, soups, milkshakes, and soft drinks — you are missing out on a great experience.

What differentiates the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe from its competitors is all the items are made to order. The shoppe does not offer hot dogs that sit on a roller or sandwiches that sit under a heat lamp or bulk order of fries that sit in a warming bin.

When a customer orders a hamburger, the cook reaches into a cooler to get a freshly made Z\v pound meatball, puts it on the grill and flattens it out into a burger patty, just like your mom would do at home. Because they offer these fresh quality products, orders take a few more minutes to prepare than what a typical fast food patron might experience.

But the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe believes fresh items are a wonderful exchange that is well worth the short wait.

Offering quick, fresh service instead of fast food is what they pride themselves in.

However, it is not only the food that is providing a fresh and exciting experience to residents, but the shoppe's atmosphere as well. Customers are able to enjoy great food in an environment with a hometown feel.

Management at the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe realized on opening day that a quick modification would be needed to satisfy their new customers in Butler.

Pickle spears were added to the menu and the "Butler Dog" was born. The Butler Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe is the only one of 11 stores that will top a hot dog at the customer's request with the well-known Butler tradition — a pickle spear.

A perfectly cooked hot dog on a freshly steamed bun, topped with their famous chili, onions and a fresh pickle spear, has proven to be the town favorite, hence the name.

A majority of the team at the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe is young, and this employment opportunity has been a great experience that many of them will carry into their futures. The shoppe prides itself in contributing to the learning experiences of all the students who work there. They have learned to work responsibly as an effective member of a team, developed a good work ethic and valuable communication skills.

The Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe has planned a grand opening week with the upcoming promotional calendar and will fill your days with fun and excitement. The grand opening will ensure that you never think the same way about hot dogs.

Since hot dogs, french fries and milkshakes seem to fit perfectly with hot summer days, it is fitting the shop is in Alameda Plaza near the swimming pool and park.

Creating a community tradition has been an important agenda for all of the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppes, as well as the newest one here in Butler. So stop by for a visit and indulge yourself with an order of cheese and chili fries and one of their now famous "Butler Dogs."
