A LOOK BACK
A canning factory,
C.M. Hilliard Co. opened in 1912 on South Main Street and packed a large amount of tomatoes, corn and fruits. In addition to tomatoes, C.M. Hilliard Co. also packed pork and beans. By December 1913, the company went out of business.
