Charges against Sales dropped
PITTSBURGH— A Penn State starting linebacker no longer faces charges stemming from an incident outside a Pittsburgh bar Saturday.
Prosecutors withdrew a defiant trespass charge against 22-year-old Tyrell Sales.
A Pittsburgh newspaper reported on its Web site Thursday that a magisterial district judge dismissed a disorderly conduct charge against the Butler graduate.
Pittsburgh police said they arrested Sales for an incident outside Magarita Mama's on Saturday evening. The city's St. Patrick's Day parade and celebration were held earlier that day.
