PATTY DOER
PATTY DOER, March 16, 1958
Today you would have been fifty,
But this day had never come,
For God took you to his mansion,
That's where you were reunited with your mom.
You always said you missed her,
And wanted to be with her again,
That's kind of like God's gift to you,
Letting you be with your best friend.
Now we sit and think of you,
On this very special day,
But we all know that Gram and Pap,
Are celebrating with you today.
You all are probably eating cake and ice cream,
Sharing with family and friends,
Gram eating that big piece of cake,
And Pap wondering when his plate ends.
We are happy you're with your mom and dad,
Even though we wish you were still here,
We hold you so close to our hearts,
And wish you a Happy Birthday, Dear!
