COLUMBIA, Mo. — Seneca Valley graduate and Clarion University freshman Kelly Connolly swam a leg of the Golden Eagles 400-meter relay that placed seventh at the NCAADivision IISwimming and Diving Championships Thursday.
The quartet finished with a time of 3 minutes, 53.89 seconds. Connolly also swam a leg of the 200 freestyle relay that finished 13th.
PITTSBURGH — The former St. Francis Central Hospital will be imploded to make way for a new arena for the Pittsburgh Penguins.A contractor failed last month to bring down the 10-story building using a technique called "controlled collapse."As a result, Homrich Inc. will use explosives to bring down the building at 7 a.m. March 22.The city-county Sports and Exhibition Authority already has razed a dozen buildings to make room on the arena site. The 10-story hospital building is the largest and will make way for a 500-car garage.
