NORTH WASHINGTON — Applications are now being accepted for the 2008 North Washington Rodeo Queen Contest.

Applicants must be ages 16 to 20, own a horse and live within a 40-mile radius of North Washington.

Central Electric Cooperative is accepting applications for its Good Neighbor Scholarship until Saturday.To apply, students must complete an application, supply a letter of acceptance to a post-secondary school, and a copy of his or her parents' 2007 federal income tax form.Students also must complete an essay on how they have contributed to their community.Scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded to 18 applicants.
