Knoch High School will present the musical "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" at 7:30 p.m. March 6 and 7 and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. March 8 at the Succop Theater, Butler County Community College, 107 Campus Drive.

Tickets can be purchased for $8 in the Knoch High School lobby from 6 to 8 p.m. today and Monday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Tickets also will be available before each performance at the theater.

Best known for the song "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend," the musical is based on the short stories by Anita Loos. The show originated on Broadway and later was made into a movie with Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell.

The plot centers around ex-Follies girls Lorelei Lee and Dorothy Shaw as they cruise to Europe, absent Shaw's fiance Gus Esmond, son of America's Button King.

Adult directors and staff include Jen Bronder, Mike Sypien, Ricardo Hayden, Gwen Pysh and Heath Lauster. Student director is Chelsie Masartis.
