Sound diplomacy
Music Director Lorin Maazel leads the New York Philharmonic's performance in Pyongyang, North Korea, today. The philharmonic is the first major American cultural group to perform in the country and the largest delegation from the United States to visit its longtime foe. The orchestra performed the "Star-Spangled Banner" for some of North Korea's Communist elite.
